Let the government leadership decide

"So I ve decided to take a different approach I think we should say everything that should be said As for whether we succeed in negotiations let the government leadership decide he said" Said the MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek.

MCA is in the government. Whom does Dr CSL mean the government leadership? With the ability and expertise of the members and leaders in MCA, over the 50 years in the government, the MCA seemed to be letting the government leadership decide. They didn't seem to be able to convince the government to let the people have what they want!

Bankrupt because of subsidy? Or, bankrupt because of corruption?

Corruption is rampant. I think every body knows it. The ordinary people can not do anything about it. They don't have the power. They can only vote against corruption come general election. The corrupt politicians don't want to do anything about it because corruption helps them financially. The "clean" politicians don't want to have anything to do with it because they know their corrupt colleagues have the power to stop them. The leaders ignore the corruption because they want the support of the corrupt politicians. So, corruption strives and gets stronger.

What have our Ministers done as regard to the annual audit report wherein a spanner was purchase at a cost of 1000 times the market price? What has the Prime Minister done as regard to the Port Klang big billion Ringgit loss? What has the Prime Minister done as regard to the Zakaria palace? What has the Prime Minister done as regard to the Dentist's grand palace? How many more cases that the ordinary people do not know because these cases are covered by the OSA?

Subsidy is recorded and the quantum can be seen. Corruption is not recorded and the quantum is every body's guess. But the number of known cases involving millions and billions and one can be sure that it is more than the amount of subsidy.

- from the United Daily

Basically, the second finance minister of Sarawak was proposing a dialogue between the Chinese community and the Chief Minister to discuss on issues of Chinese education, corruption etc. Would anyone dare to voice out his grievences against the CM and PM? Bearing in mind the ISA is still in force and is at the discretion of the Home Minister?

SIBU, May 12 — ..........

At the gathering attended by some 1,000 local Chinese school teachers Najib also presented financial allocations of RM15 million for 65 Chinese schools in the district and RM3 million for two mission schools.

The RM15 million includes an allocation of RM5 million to five independent Chinese secondary schools in Sibu.

The remaining RM10 million was allocated for the 60 government-aided Sibu Chinese primary schools. ...... Unquote -MalaysiaInsider

RM18 million for the Chinese and mission schools in Sibu. Those Chinese and mission schools in other towns or city have to wait for the next general elections or by-election to get their allocation then? Would there be any such allocation if there were no 308 political tsunami that resulted in stronger opposition?

Is this RM18 m allocated in the budget? Or, is it kind of "spend now, talk later"?

Do it as I say, don't do as I do?

Quote
SIBU, May 8 — The Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate in the Sibu by-election, Robert Lau Hui Yew, appeared to be uncomfortable with religious issues brought into the campaign.

Lau believes the DAP’s approach in using issues affecting the Christian community such as the use of the word “Allah” as something unusual in Sibu.

“Religion is personal relationship between yourself and God, let us not politicise that. I am a Christian, I believe in Jesus Christ as our saviour, I believe in the Trinity,” said Lau when asked if he is doing anything specific to win over the Christian votes.

“Politics deals with human, social issue not so much about divinity but at the end whatever we do whatever we try we must be thankful to God,” he added.

“We don’t politicise religion, this has not happened in Sibu. Religion is divinity, politics is humanity,” he said when met after a dinner with the SUPP election machinery. Unquote - Malaysia Insider.com

Is it not very unusual for a partner coalition to suggest not to politize the religion issues whilst its major leading partner boss has been doing it for years?
